We are looking for candidates that will be able to work both independently and in teams to continually refine curriculum to maximize student achievement. The ability to work with students one-on-one to address individual learning needs and to use student performance data to drive instructional improvement is essential. New Teachers:

 

If you are a new teacher at the NYC Department of Education, there are two parts to the hiring process. First, apply to become a teacher in the New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE) by completing a detailed online application. Then if your application is accepted, you can begin contacting us directly at [email protected] or find our school openings throughout the Open Market Transfer system.

To teach in New York City, candidates must possess or be on track to earn a New York State Department of Education (NYSED) teaching certification by the start of the current school year.
