Prom Ticket Pick-Up and Transportation Information
Good afternoon Families,
Prom will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This message contains important information and logistics regarding prom for you and your child.
Students must come to school before prom to pick up their prom tickets so they can be marked present for the day. Your child is welcome to stay for the day, until prom departure as Monday is still an instructional day. Students that are not attending the prom are expected to attend school with continued instruction being administered. Students should pick up their tickets between 8:00 AM and 1:30 PM.
• If your child is attending the regular school day, please have them bring their prom attire in a bag rather than wear it to school. Students will be given an opportunity to change into their prom attire before departure.
• If your child is not planning on attending the regular school day, a parent or guardian must accompany their child to pick-up their tickets and to sign them out. By New York City State Laws, we are not allowed to release a student without a parent.
• If a student is unable to pick up their ticket between 8:00 AM and 1:30 PM, they may do so in the Auditorium during prom check-in, which will take place between 1:30 PM and 1:55 PM
.
Bus Transportation Procedures:
• Students will begin boarding the buses at 2:00 PM, and buses will depart promptly at 2:15 PM. If a student arrives after the buses have departed, the parent/guardian will be responsible for transporting the student directly to the prom venue. If you do not have the Prom location, please come to the main office and we will provide the information to you.
• Students must check-in before boarding the bus. We must have accountability for all students.
• All students riding school transportation to the venue will return to the school on the school-provided buses unless prior arrangements have been approved by the administration.
• Prom will end at 7:00 pm and students are expected to return between 7:20 PM and 7:30 PM. Parents that are picking-up their students, please be at the school at 7:20 pm. All other students will be dismissed immediately, upon return to the school.
Parent Pick-up Procedures:
•Students will only be released to the parent/guardian listed in school records or an authorized emergency contact.
Behavioral Expectations:
• All NYCPS and school behavioral expectations remain in effect during transportation, at the prom venue, and during the return trip to school. Students who fail to meet behavioral expectations may be removed from the event and a parent/guardian will be contacted for immediate pick-up.

Buenas tardes, familias:
El Prom se llevará a cabo el lunes, 8 de junio de 2026, de 3:00 PM a 7:00 PM. Este mensaje contiene información importante y logística relacionada con el prom para usted y su hijo/a.
Los estudiantes deben venir a la escuela antes del prom para recoger sus boletos y ser marcados como presentes durante el día escolar. Su hijo/a puede permanecer en la escuela durante el día hasta la salida al prom, ya que el lunes sigue siendo un día regular de instrucción. Los estudiantes que no asistirán al prom deben asistir a la escuela, ya que las clases continuarán normalmente. Los estudiantes deben recoger sus boletos entre las 8:00 AM y la 1:30 PM.
• Si su hijo/a asistirá al día escolar regular, por favor envíe la ropa del prom en una bolsa en lugar de venir vestido/a con ella a la escuela. Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de cambiarse antes de salir al prom.
• Si su hijo/a NO planea asistir al día escolar regular, un padre, madre o tutor legal debe acompañarlo/a para recoger el boleto y firmar su salida. De acuerdo con las leyes del Estado de Nueva York, no podemos dejar salir a un estudiante sin un padre o tutor.
• Si un estudiante no puede recoger su boleto entre las 8:00 AM y la 1:30 PM, podrá hacerlo en el Auditorio durante el registro del prom, que se llevará a cabo entre la 1:30 PM y la 1:55 PM.
Procedimientos de Transporte en Autobús:
• Los estudiantes comenzarán a abordar los autobuses a las 2:00 PM y los autobuses saldrán puntualmente a las 2:15 PM. Si un estudiante llega después de que los autobuses hayan salido, el padre/madre o tutor será responsable de transportarlo directamente al lugar del prom. Si no tiene la ubicación del prom, por favor visite la oficina principal y le proporcionaremos la información.
• Los estudiantes deben registrarse antes de subir al autobús. Debemos mantener responsabilidad y control de todos los estudiantes.
• Todos los estudiantes que utilicen el transporte escolar hacia el lugar del evento regresarán a la escuela en los autobuses proporcionados por la escuela, a menos que la administración haya aprobado otros arreglos con anticipación.
• El prom finalizará a las 7:00 PM y se espera que los estudiantes regresen entre las 7:20 PM y las 7:30 PM. Los padres que recogerán a sus hijos, por favor estén en la escuela a las 7:20 PM. Todos los demás estudiantes serán despedidos inmediatamente al regresar a la escuela.
Procedimientos para Recoger Estudiantes:
• Los estudiantes solo serán entregados al padre/madre/tutor que figure en los registros escolares o a un contacto de emergencia autorizado.
Expectativas de Comportamiento:
• Todas las expectativas de comportamiento de NYCPS y de la escuela continúan vigentes durante el transporte, en el lugar del prom y durante el viaje de regreso a la escuela. Los estudiantes que no cumplan con las expectativas de comportamiento podrán ser retirados del evento y se contactará a un padre/madre o tutor para recogerlos inmediatamente.
