Afterschool Programs
After school programs at PS/MS 206 provide our students with a safe and structure space to learn, create, collaborate and to have fun. After school services are provided by four of our community partners (CEI, Union Settlement, Phil Ramone Orchestra and Roads to Success). The activities in each program supports our students' development of crucial 21st century skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication). All programs commence at the end of the school day. Students are escort to their after-school programs by their classroom teacher(s).
CEI Afterschool Program
The CEI After-School program for students in grades 3-6 operates Monday thru Friday between 2:20 PM to 5:20 PM. Students in this program receive snacks and homework help before engaging in activities such as dance, cooking, robotics, gardening, visual arts, sports and science. Phil Ramone Orchestra
The Phil Ramone Orchestra for Children operates on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 3 PM and 5 PM at PS/MS 206. This limited space program is open to all students wishing to learn how to play a musical instrument. Roads to Success
Roads to Success offers a 5-day-a-week after-school program for students in grades 6-8. The program operates on weekdays between 2:20 PM and 5:30 PM. The program also includes full-day Midwinter and Spring Recess Day-Camps! Some of the after-school activities include but are not limited to: Art, cooking photography, Vlogging, martial arts, music production, sports, and DIY Club.
